This is a fabulous instructional DVD for an experienced dancer. Aradia presents an easy to understand progression of movements through the combinations, breaking them down in easy to learn sections, and then performing them facing front and back so you can follow along. She clearly explains some of the basic differences between the different styles of bellydance and gives a performance of each different style using the combinations that she has taught.

Aradia's technique is very clean, polished, professional, fluid and graceful. Her confidence, joy, talent and dedication to this art form come across clearly, even while demonstrating technique. She is an accomplished performer; a pleasure to watch. Her teaching style is very direct, straightforward, simple and presented with a friendly attitude that draws you in, without the impersonal 'teaching down to you' attitude that some instructional DVDs have.

This DVD is not for beginning dancers. Aradia does not teach basic isolations, but how to put isolations and traveling moves together into combinations with different "flavors." Beginning dancers would be better with a beginning instructional video. The pace is fast, and there is not a lot of repetition. The nice thing about having it on DVD is that you can replay it as many times as you want or need!

The DVD itself is clearly organized with easy to understand and find menus so that you can locate exactly the section that you are looking for. The combinations follow a progression that becomes the first part of the choreography/performance for each style that Aradia demonstrates. It is filmed and edited well, with quality and simplicity.

For any dancer looking to improve their dance and presentation, and looking to understand the differences in style and performance, this is a must have DVD for your video library! Please make another video, Aradia! I want more!
