Comprehensive breakdowns for hip work, undulations, figure eights, shimmies and traveling steps are taught, as well as graceful arms, entrances, and some basic combinations.
The video concludes with a costumed performance, allowing the viewer to see how these steps can be put together and used in an improvised performance to a typical balady progression and drum solo. Running time 50 minutes.

Farhana: I am teaching Egyptian-based beginner level technique. Some basic moves, posture, hand and arm movements, some layering basics.
BellyDanceStore.net: What do you think are the most important elements belly dance?
Farhana: Aside from the great workout, sense of accomplishment and wonderful mental and emotional benefits most people seem to get out of belly dancing, it seems to be a celebration of femininity- it looks great on women of all ages, shapes and sizes! TECHNIQUE-WISE, I think an important aspect is in making your dancing look "Oriental"- really getting the flavor and feeling of the movements without the haste and quickness that are inherent in Western-style dance.

Farhana: SOMETIMES I FEEL LIKE AN EVANGELIST! I hope women will have an introduction to something wonderful! belly dancing changed my life... And quickly became my favorite thing to do- I just wanna share the joy!
